Fair calculation method for new membership fees of IIW

The purpose of this paper is to review the current approach used by international institute of welding (IIW) to allocation membership fee and provide recommendation for improvement. As such the paper investigated the different approaches used by IIW; namely old and new method; to calculate fees for member countries. This included analysis of new membership fee calculating method that impacted developing countries. Finally, on top of the new model, we added additional concept and evaluated the advantage to less developed countries as well as developed small countries.

Project Management Module Including External Certification at FHNW

The purpose of this paper is to provide an overview of the Project Management certificates currently available in Switzerland, analyse the necessity and value of these certificates among relevant stakeholders, and develop a concept for combining such certificates into the FHNW curriculum. Another aim is to offer a recommendation about which certification is appropriate for FHNWs and students' needs. Furthermore, a survey was conducted to determine the actual needs of students and the potential demand for such a certification.
