Publikation Digitalizing the supply chain of clinical trials(SAGE, 2022) Antonuccio, Deborah; Buser, Lukas; Ehrenthal, Joachim; Maheswaran, Mugunthan; Schwarz, PhilipClinical trials investigate the effectiveness and safety of new medications and treatments before market introduction. Data quality and speed are keys to clinical trials success, together with the overall time to bring innovative medicines to patients in need. Cutting edge trials programs rely on data from participant devices to track and monitor health. The supply chain of these devices, and leveraging supply chain data to improve it, have become critical to clinical trials success. This case presents how a small Business Unit specialized improved their device supply chain by digitizing supply chain processes and leveraging supply chain data. Set in the Swiss pharmaceuticals industry, case provides rich insights on data collection and exchange in clinical trials supply chains.01A - Beitrag in wissenschaftlicher ZeitschriftPublikation Use of Wearable Clothing in Digital Biomarkers - For Autism SpectrumDisorder Study(Hochschule für Wirtschaft FHNW, 2020) Maheswaran, Mugunthan; Schwaferts, DinoThis study examines if smart garment can be used as a digital biomarker device in a Austim Spectrum Disorder (ASD) clinical study. During biologoical events such as beating of the heart and contraction of muscles, produce different biomedical signals. They can be classified as permenent or induced biosignals based on their nature of existance. Permanent signals exist at all times within the body and are generated without any artificial trigger. Induced biosignals are artificially triggered. These can be measured using invasive or non-invasive. Placing a sensor on the skin surface is non-invasive and easier for the user than an invasive method of using a wire electrode. Adding electrodes and sensors onto textiles and garments is a non-invasive way of capturing and measuring biosignals (Sadat et al. 2020)....11 - Studentische Arbeit
