Konzept für eine zukunftsorientierte Konnektivität von Standorten eines Retail Unternehmens

Bis Ende 2018 schafft das Unternehmen mehr als 500 Geräte an, die sich drahtlos mit dem Netzwerk verbinden wollen. Aktuell sind die beiden Technologien WLAN und Mobilfunk im Einsatz. Die WLAN Infrastruktur ist in die Jahre gekommen und sollte erneuert werden. Beim Mobilfunk wurden nur vereinzelte Geräte mit Daten Abos ausgerüstet und dort gibt es interne Empfangslöcher. Das Unternehmen stellt sich die Frage, auf welche drahtlose Verbindung gesetzt werden soll? Zur Auswahl stehen WLAN, Mobilfunk oder weitere Technologien, die abgeklärt werden müssen.
