Description
Abstract
The development of fast impregnation RTM techniques is of research interest at the Institut für Kunststofftechnik (Institute of Polymer Engineering). The manufacture of high performance carbon composite parts can be achieved with very short cycle times by utilising compression-impregnation of dry fibre preforms. By decreasing non-recurring costs, this technique provides a viable route to market for such mass produced composite components.
