Digital Identities

Abstract

How do we remain relevant to our audiences? A 2-day workshop exploring the convergence of digital storytelling and inclusion at the Institute Arts and Design Education (IADE). With the ever-expanding choice of formats for multiplatform storytelling, many of us are asking the questions – do we have a worthwhile story to tell? Are our audiences interested in what we have to say? And how do we capture their attention and turn it into impact? This is the focus of Digital Identities Basel, a 2-day workshop to learn how to build and sustain a community through participatory storytelling. Digital Identities workshops have traveled to 13 countries, hosted by organizations such as The Guardian and Google. Participants represent leading cultural and media organizations such as Rijksmuseum (The Netherlands), Tate (UK), Nordiska museet (Sweden), BBC and Deutsche Welle (Germany). This is the first Digital Identities workshop in Switzerland.
