Description
Abstract
eMathematics was a third-phase Swiss Virtual Campus project. It was done in collaboration with SUPSI and University of Applied Sciences in Luzern. The result of the project was the product, the online course eMathematics, meant for the first semester students of business studies. Though the main purpose of the course is to offer it for individual study (guided self-study), parts of it can easily be adapted to teach in blended learning mode. eMathematics has been presented in various conferences in Europe, and has won great aclamation without exception. It was awarded the third price at the eLearning conference held at the University of Hamburg in 2006. A handbook accompanies the online course. Both the handbook and the online course is intensely used in the first semester Business Maths 1 course in the Bachelor program of International Management at the School of Business in Olten.
