Abstract
This project develops a concept for a digital, validated product selection system in the field of structure borne sound insulation and vibration protection. In collaboration with HBT-ISOL AG, FHNW investigates how complex technical models can be translated into a guided, visually supported user interaction suitable for non specialised planning professionals. The goal is to enable correct and transparent product selection without requiring deep expert knowledge. The project also explores the use of explainable artificial intelligence to support recommendation generation and plausibility checking of user inputs. The results form the basis for an innovative assistance system that simplifies planning processes, reduces consultancy effort, and unlocks new market potential.
