Description
Abstract
We will fabricate shape-memory alloy structures as bone scaffolds. The applied method allows the production of complex-shaped metallic structures based on a virtual model. The interactions of the structures with the bone will be investigated within a bioreactor model system. It is the goal to identify optimized structures in order to specifically enhance osteoprogenitor cell function and reach a superior performance in bone tissue.
