Description
Abstract
The project aims are to develop, evaluate and characterize drug-loaded magnetic micro capsules for the treatment of brain tumors such as brainstem glioma. The consortium will investigate the fabrication, characterization and steering of these capsules ex vivo and in vivo, as well as their drug-release mechanisms. This work will bridge the gap between mature research on material science, chemical engineering and robotics, and their application to medicine for targeted-drug delivery.
