Abstract
Today, more and more companies are moving towards different deployment models of cloud computing. One of the main reasons is to avoid capital expenditure in both, hardware and software. Also, they need to ensure business continuity, agility and disaster recovery, since otherwise companies will need a lot of infrastructure and back up of data. In the beginning mostly companies used private cloud, where the way of delivering the service is inside the company. Nowadays it is different, they go for hybrid cloud and the question is: do they know which deployment model better suits their needs and wants? This master thesis is exactly about the different cloud deployment models, where based on the literature review and research a list of criteria for each deployment model will be presented in order to help companies to make efficient and effective decisions.
