Abstract
The current worldwide gaming market value in sales is 180.3 billion USD. Thus, it is already more prominent than the film and music industries combined. In addition, the forecast for the year 2024 is expected to be 218.8 billion. This is an increase of more than 20 % within three years. Although the industry is enormous compared to the film and music industry, it receives less attention. Although Switzerland is a very modest market in international comparison, it has won an above-average number of international awards for games developed in Switzerland. Moreover, the situation in Switzerland shows that it has outstanding game developers, but they are not promoted enough and do not have the expertise to run and scale their companies. Addressing this gap requires explicit knowledge of the gaming industry. Today's Swiss innovation and support centres have skilled coaches with much experience in business development. However, they lack explicit knowledge in gaming, which is needed to support the developers in Switzerland. Due to the situation of the game developers in Switzerland and their problems, this thesis focuses on the objective of promoting Swiss game developers to make the industry attractive to further in-vestors. Therefore, to address the gap or business opportunity, this work provides the basis for an organization that supports the game developers in Switzerland and promotes them in specific areas.
