Abstract
Universities of applied sciences should focus their research activities on SMEs in the region that funds them. It is a demand that is getting stronger. Prof. Dr. Rolf Dornberger, head of the Institute for Information Systems at the School of Business FHNW, explains why universities of applied sciences need to conduct international research, and how a region's enterprises benefit.
