Abstract
Traveling is an experience that goes beyond the journey, transportation, accommodation, and weather conditions. To enhance this experience, travellers look for information on travel blogs, recommending applications and websites, but often find it cumbersome to create an ideal itinerary. Due to the advancement of technology in the field of tourism, many applications are available to provide travel itineraries based on tourist’s profile, travel history, similar data search, etc. but optimized travel itinerary by considering visitors preference and time constraints are missing. Travellers prefer simple and user- friendly applications to resolve their query. Moreover, with the outbreak of the Covid-19 and the travel restrictions, tourists want to know about the current situation of the city before their visit. Augmented reality is a technology that superimposes computer-generated digital image onto the real world and changes the way people experience their surroundings. The Artificial intelligence empowered chatbots are used in tourist applications for improving the tourist experience.
