Abstract
Globally, digital transformation has become ubiquitous, affecting all companies, regardless of size or sector. A major driver for this transformation is the rapid advancement of digital technologies, which fundamentally alter business models, disrupt markets and transform consumer expectations and behaviours at the same time. Present-day organisations today experience difficulty maintaining pace with such rapid change. One organisational model that may assist in addressing these challenges is referred to as a “digital service factory”. In this study, the purpose is to investigate in the concept of digital service factories. Furthermore, it discusses how digital service factories can help accelerate digital transformation by providing organisations with dynamic capabilities. Therefore, guidelines were created along with eight important change management steps to help organisations to implement digital service factories and guide organisations through the change process.
