Abstract
In an era of globalization, mergers and acquisitions have become a crucial strategic tool for an organization to strengthen their core competencies. An agreement between two parties requires the involvement of intermediaries and complex due diligence around technical, financial and legal aspects of a renewable energy project. The literature describes the best practices and standards to make strategic choices associated with such activities. Unfortunately, the complexity of comprehensive project analysis in conjunction with the processing of the significant amount of traditional paper documents are still causing costs, execution risks, data ambiguity – resulting in agreement often taking several days and most often fail to create value for the shareholders....
