For decades, companies struggled with low success rates in software engineering projects. Agile project management approaches, such as Scrum, are on the rise as they demonstrate increased project success rates and address the complexity of software development. However, agile approaches are often only partially applied and implemented within a static and non-agile environment. With the partial application of agile approaches, it is essential for a company to understand what impact the implemented practices have on a particular project area and how to improve the right set of agile practices to suit the characteristics and needs of the project. Different researchers in this field, state that there is a lack of empirical evidence on the impact of agile practices. Therefore, an empirical multiple case study is conducted to investigate the impact of Scrum events on the project areas of visibility, productivity, and software quality....
