Abstract
The purpose of this thesis is to examine the practical utility of artificial intelligence (AI) technology that is already built into virtual assistants (VAs) for creating meeting minutes. In the meeting minutes creation process, there are various problems that can occur during and after the meeting: for instance, the speed of the conversation, which can be difficult to capture and too fast for a human minute taker to write down. The consolidation and reconstruction of important information is a time-consuming effort and may lead to subjective, inaccurate, incomplete and inconsistent meeting minutes. In order to address this problem-rich domain of meetings and meeting minutes, the design science research (DSR) methodology was applied. Within the DSR phases, a process model (artefact) was built to address the problems that occur in compiling meeting minutes. Furthermore, appropriate research instruments, such as a literature review, interview, observation and simulations, were used to answer the derived research questions....
