Abstract
The Swiss construction industry is an essential component of Swiss value creation and contributes 10% to the gross domestic product. Despite advancing digitalisation, companies in the construction industry estimate the degree of digitalisation at 60%, and many of them have a properly operating ERP system in place to digitalise administrative processes. The problem in the construction industry is that the exchange of data between the many different players in a construction project is not efficiently coordinated, resulting in a tremendous amount of redundant administrative work. Objective The main objective of this thesis is to connect the different actors of the construction industry through a multi-sided platform and to standardise the data exchange with the available information. For this purpose, four research questions and derived research objectives were formulated to identify the needs of the market participants and develop a viable business plan and minimum viable product.
