The talk will introduce the performance art collections at Mediathek HGK FHNW. In doing so, the connection between collecting and enabling culture becomes clear. Then Creative Commens licenses are shortly introduced, because in the academic environment it is common practice to make content freely accessible. The samples will underline the relevance of openness, access and re-use in the specific context of performance art. Finally, a connection to the topics of the conference is presented, by addressing the already mentioned NFT-technology (non-fungible token). The talk considers to what extent blockchain technologies can contribute to an understanding where the free flow of open, artistic content/objects can coexist with a specific type of exclusivity, authenticity, scarcity as it is incorporated in the art market.en_US
