Abstract
Digital transformation is affecting almost all types of industries and is becoming a major threat for almost all businesses. Digital transformation is a prominent threat if not implemented and carried out correctly and on the right time. However, if managed and implemented correctly it acts as major shield and protection against incoming disruption risks. Since digital transformation is a huge and complex transformational process that impacts the whole business foreseeing it, clear guidance is needed to analyse it and understand it. The digital transformation is analysed by means of its leveraging points that are considered its key elements to manage it. Futhermore, based on the assessed leveraging points, clear guidelines can be developed. By having such managerial guidelines and thorough understanding achieved, the benefits of the digital transformation can be exploited and any expected or foreseen negative outcomes could be tackled and mitigated.
