dc.description.abstractLegal Tech has a disruptive impact on the legal market. In Switzerland, however, this trend is not yet as advanced as in other parts of the world. The ones who suffer from this situation are the legal employees, who must keep up with the global competition without this support. This thesis aims to provide this support. The literature was reviewed, firstly, to find suitable solutions to support the legal employees. Derived from the gadgets used in day-to-day life, the solution of a chatbot came. In addition, the literature also shows that the on-the-job training, especially in the case of junior associates, is not appropriate for the length of time they are employed. From this constellation the research gap emerges; the on-the-job training of junior associates should become more efficient with the implementation of a chatbot. The goal of the thesis thereby is to implement a prototype of a chatbot and provide, based on ist evaluation, advice on how to make the best use of such a chatbot. For the creation of the chatbot design science research. Before the chatbot is developed, the involved personas are defined and a first catalogue of questions, the chatbot should be able to answer, is designed. While the questionsare used to develop the chatbot, the personas are later used to evaluate the chatbot. This entire process was done by applying design science research.This evaluation has shown that the implementation of an elaborated chatbot indeed can help thejunior associates to do tasks more efficient. However, the legal framework is an obstacle and therefore, at best, the implementation of several chatbots must be considered.
