Abstract
This paper aims to create a method, which could help students of Russian musical colleges (secondary level of education in the system “music school – college – conservatory”, which is in use in Russia) to gain the basic skills of playing basso continuo and historical improvisation. As soon as this discipline is barely presented even in higher education institutions, this work could be another little step for developing the full system of early music education in Russia, as well as, at first, being a cornerstone of the future pedagogic work of the author of this paper.
