GDPR on Swiss Schools. A guide that supports Swiss international schools to document and report data processing activities in line with GDPR

Abstract

GDPR is new data protection law that has come into place in European Union. The new law brings lot of stringent actions on protection of data, and if not abide by the law, there can be hefty fines as well. Switzerland is keenly following the European Union in the area of data protection. Most of the organizations are in the initial stage related to the processing data activities. As there are no guidelines on documentation and reporting on data processing activities formulad for swiss international schools, the prosed master thesis aims to design a guide to assist data protection officers and other employees having responsibility for data protection by analyzing the factors influencing the processing of personal data.
