Abstract
Der Kurzfilm «A New Matter» fragt, was es bedeutet, wenn Rohstoffe nicht nur auf der Erde, sondern auch im All gefördert werden. Aus Archivmaterial, Abbaugebieten und Bildern des Space Race entsteht ein Spannungsfeld zwischen Realität und Dystopie, das wirtschaftliche, politische und ethische Dimensionen beleuchtet. Die Bildwelten wirken dabei zugleich vertraut und fremd.
