Abstract
Limitations in existing sports learning facilities bound many people to participate in sports. Constraints like high costs, schedule restrictions, and limited number of spots availability are the main hurdles people face when they want to learn a sport. This thesis provides an efficient and effective business model for an online platform (marketplace) where anybody with an internet connection can sign-up and find teachers/trainers to learn any sport. Additionally, this platform provides the facility to people who knows some sport and want to teach that sport to others and earn money. Based on the market research, there is no existing platform that provides the flexibility of time and cost. These two elements are the basses of presented platform in this thesis. To commence a new business in this (online) competitive market, a thorough business plan with a device full business model is a necessity. Due to the limitation of time, only a business model has been created and adapted according to the customer needs in this study. To come up with an efficient and effective business model, a book named as Running Lean – Iterate from Plan A to a Plan That Works by a famous writer (Ash Maurya) of this domain (entrepreneurship) has been followed.
