dc.description.abstractThis master thesis aims to provide a partial translation of the Latin text of the Hungarian Szalkai Codex into English, making the music theory treatise more accessible for th.ose interested in the music education of Renaissance Hungary. lt includes some historical background and the content ofthe codex based on research by Hungarian scholars, as well as a commentary on the process of my translation and its outcome.
