dc.description.abstractRecent developments and prime examples such as Amazon, Airbnb and Uber show the enormous power of platform business models that disrupt traditional industries and achieve monopoly positions. Therefore, startups often choose this concept for their business, although this is not a guarantee for success. Using the power of platforms to establish a successful business model is a complicated problem that lies in the focus of this work. The main objectives are to gain in-depth knowledge about business model development, platforms and market research and apply it to develop an innovative idea towards a functional business model. The delivery objects are the requirements for the MVP to close an identified market gap, as well as a pitch deck to attract investors in the seeding phase....
