dc.description.abstractThe rapid developments in Information Technology (IT) present a challenge for all organizations, no matter how large and small, or if public or private. While IT-enabled change and innovation are increasingly critical for their continued viability, many organizations struggle to support changes that will contribute value across the business and lead to a digital transformation. The objective of the present master thesis is to develop an IT-analysis method, which addresses the most important parameters of Business Information Systems and the requirements of agile organizations. The IT-analysis method consequently guides companies through their journey of digital transformation and contributes to the ABILI-methodology, which was established by the University of Applied Science and Arts Northwestern Switzerland (FHNW). The current literature shows a gap where no maturity model could be applied to cover all of the relevant dimensions of Business Information Systems as well as of agile organizations....
