Design Proposal of Benchmarking tool for Digital Transformation

Abstract

Currently in this digital era, organizations are aware that they needs to transform not only technical perspective, but also from eco system, business processes and organizational structural perspective. According to statistics provided by International Data Corporation, only 34% of the companies have established basic capabilities of digital transformation and lagging behind in competition with best performing peers. This leads to the necessity to develop and implement best practices across industries to sustain digital disruption and stay alive. This paper aims in proposing a design model for benchmarking tool prototype that could be used by organizations to check their level of digital capabilities compared to other organizations. The design based research method has been chosen to carry out the research.
