Abstract
The world of microbes has largely shaped our environment and has an immense impact on it, even though we can’t see them. We co-exist with them, and they are present in our daily lives, without really knowing what they exactly are. My topic underlines the importance and is a visual verification of Basel’s environmental microbes. It is a research work that acknowledges my main question of how to visually represent the invisible urban world. The analysis is presented through a multifunctional format, which is a poster and magazine combined. Its goal is to capture attention and leave impression of the environmental microbes and at the same time provide specific information of each location and sample.
