    Enriching Enterprise Architecture Models with Healthcare Domain Knowledge

    Today, interest in conceptual enterprise architecture modelling is growing, and the possibilities of using this approach for the digitalization of enterprises are actively discussed among researchers. Using conceptual enterprise modelling gives an opportunity not only to have a better understanding and broad overview of the enterprise architecture but also to reach a higher level of automation that allows one to keep a competitive position within the rapidly changing market. Visual representation of enterprise architecture models can be easily understood by a human, but machines cannot interpret the meaning behind elements of those models, analyse the logic and relationships between them. It makes those models usable only by a human. To allow a higher degree of automatization and to make those models machine-interpretable, a graphical representation of models shall be connected to a knowledge base of the specific domain. This Master’s Thesis aim is to consider the possibilities and develop a solution that will enrich an enterprise architecture model of a medical institution with medical domain knowledge to make it machine-interpretable and will allow a modern modelling environment to understand the meaning of the visual representation of the enterprise architecture model.
