- PublikationQuantum computing in supply chain management state of the art and research directions(Diponegoro University, 2022) Gachnang, Phillip; Ehrenthal, Joachim; Hanne, Thomas; Dornberger, Rolf [in: Asian Journal of Logistics Management]Quantum computing is the most promising computational advance of the coming decade for solving the most challenging problems in supply chain management and logistics. This paper reviews the state-of-the-art of quantum computing and provides directions for future research. First, general concepts relevant to quantum computers and quantum computing are introduced. Second, the dominating quantum technologies are presented. Third, the quantum industry is analyzed, and recent applications in different fields of supply chain management and logistics are illustrated. Fourth, directions for future research are given. We hope this review to educate and inspire the use of quantum computing in the fields of optimization, artificial intelligence, and machine learning for supply chain and logistics.01A - Beitrag in wissenschaftlicher Zeitschrift
- PublikationRecommendations for conducting service-dominant logic research(Springer, 2020) Ehrenthal, Joachim; Gruen, Thomas W.; Hofstetter, Joerg S.; Dornberger, Rolf [in: New trends in business information systems and technology]In the digital age, companies compete on how well their service meets customer needs and solves customer problems, interacting with ever more actors to fulfill their promise. A well-suited mid-range theory to conduct research in this “new” world is service-dominant (S-D) logic. However, there are no guidelines or a commonly agreed framework for systematically conducting S-D logic research. To fill this gap, this chapter reviews and analyzes the use of S-D logic in research. It provides recommendations for conducting S-D logic in research and proposes an organizing framework for applied research settings and beyond.04A - Beitrag Sammelband
- PublikationRecommendations for conducting service-dominant logic based research(Springer, 2019) Ehrenthal, Joachim; Gruen, Thomas W.; Hofstetter, Joerg S.; Dornberger, Rolf [in: New trends in business information systems and technology. Digital innovation and digital business transformation]While Service-Dominant logic (SDL) has been the basis for research publications in many journals, anecdotal evidence suggests that there is growing resistance to using SDL because some reviewers consider it to be unviable for rigorous research. As a remedy, researchers, editors, and reviewers are in need for clear criteria on what makes good quality SDL research. Our study aims to address this problem, and it examines how SDL has been successfully and unsuccessfully used in research—including methods, processes, and approaches to apply & integrate SDL in research studies—in order to determine a set of quality criteria for researchers and practitioners to better use and benefit from SDL.04A - Beitrag Sammelband
