FAIR-ness in den Künsten An-und Herausforderungen aus Sicht der Mediathek der Hochschule für Gestaltung und Kunst FHNW Basel
Der Beitrag geht auf An- und Herausforderungen ein, die durch die Betrachtung von „Kunst als Daten“ im Kontext aktueller Publikationspraktiken (Fokus: Repositorien) und Vermittlungskontexte entstehen. Die FAIR-Principles liefern ein Schema zur Identifikation struktureller und systemischer Lücken, wie anhand von verbreiteten Typologien und Klassifikationen des Wissenschaftssystem gezeigt wird. Eine grundlegende Spannung zwischen den bestehenden Strukturen und den disziplinären Anforderungen bzw. dem Status Quo an Kunsthochschulen wird greifbar.
Performance art in the context of the special collections and digital archives at Academy of Art and Design FHNW: Remarks on questions of access and reuse
The talk will introduce the performance art collections at Mediathek HGK FHNW. In doing so, the connection between collecting and enabling culture becomes clear. Then Creative Commens licenses are shortly introduced, because in the academic environment it is common practice to make content freely accessible. The samples will underline the relevance of openness, access and re-use in the specific context of performance art. Finally, a connection to the topics of the conference is presented, by addressing the already mentioned NFT-technology (non-fungible token). The talk considers to what extent blockchain technologies can contribute to an understanding where the free flow of open, artistic content/objects can coexist with a specific type of exclusivity, authenticity, scarcity as it is incorporated in the art market.
