Abstract
This project focuses on developing solutions specifically tailored to the needs of seniors aged 70 to 85. The motivation stems from personal experiences with my grandmother, who often relied on the help of others due to balance issues and limited mobility. Her walking cane provided insufficient support, significantly affecting her independence and quality of life at home. The goal of this project is to make seniors' daily lives easier, enhance their independence, and reduce barriers within their homes. The focus is on designing a product that addresses both functional and emotional needs. Thoughtful and aesthetic design helps avoid stigmatization, while intuitive operation and ergonomic features ensure ease of use. A central element of the project is the development of a multifunctional everyday aid that facilitates the transport of items, serves as a support, and can be used in various ways at home. This project aims to improve seniors’ quality of life by offering practical assistance, providing comfort, and fostering a sense of independence.
