Abstract
Business Process Management (BPM) is a widely applied discipline in many organisations. Creating and maintaining business process models is a task that still requires a great deal of human work and is, therefore, considered a costly and cumbersome task. The reuse of business process models is a solution to minimise human effort and increase quality. For the purpose of reuse, process models must be discovered in a repository. In addition other opportunities, enrichment of the models with semantic annotating from domain ontologies can leverage better query results for the discovery. Although the idea of using semantic annotated business process models for the case of reuse has been mentioned and proposed several times in publications, neither the exact requirements nor the exact implementation have been analysed in detail. This thesis closes this research gap with the following thesis statement and the development of an artefact in the form of a methodology to discover business process models for reuse.
