An electrical wholesaler in Switzerland conducted, with a consulting company, a strategic analysis to evaluate the potential in its logistics system due to certain constraints in the Swiss market. The outcome was a distribution center concept which included three facilities. Based on the findings the company began implementing the strategy by constructing two of the proposed logistics facilities. The aim of this thesis was to assess the current supply chain strategy’s effectiveness, whether the third facility should be established and what digitalization and sustainability opportunities exist.
