Abstract
Five luminaires with a non-visual effect are compared by photometric measurements for the duration of a full day. The extensive data allows us to compare diurnal variations for various photometric quantities, such as color temperature, illuminances, color rendering index and glare. Concerning the non-visual effects of the luminaires we compare two methods, one of which is comparatively new. It is based on CIE TN 003:2015. Electric lighting boasting non-visual effects - promoted as "human-centric lighting" - are increasingly being used e.g. in health care. Therefore, lighting designers, architects and researchers can benefit from firsthand experience with a range of current industrial solutions on the market.
