dc.description.abstractFor a social robot to become household equipment, it must be safe, affordable, and flexible to interact with a continuously changing surroundings. The aim of this thesis is, therefore, to delimit “simple, soft social robots” and to evaluate the potential soft and simple objects, including various materials and forms for the creation of this new field of robots. With these findings, a basis for a social robot, which could be called simple, soft social robots, and several possible implementable works could be established for future growth.
