Abstract
Energy production and procurement is carefully planned by SBB Energy employees on various time horizons. Since 2015, they have been supported by the optimisation software “OptRe”. The tool is mainly used to generate possible energy schedules for defined periods based on forecast data. Since its introduction, OptRe has been continuously developed further. As the contract with the current supplier will run out in the next years, a new public tender will be required. The current and future optimisation-related architecture, as well as a set of requirements, is to be developed by the student.
