Abstract
The railroad industry continues to grow year after year. This growth includes not only the construction of new infrastructure but also the increased frequency of use of existing railroads. Recognizing an opportunity to diversify, Cital initiated a study to assess the potential of applying their existing PCB design to this expanding market. The primary objectives of this thesis are to evaluate the market opportunities available to Cital, develop a pricing strategy, and conceptualize and realize an initial prototype that would be suitable for implementation in the railroad industry.
