Abstract
This inquiry begins with the question: What constitutes the “right to we”? How can we move beyond merely acknowledging a multiplicity of identities and practices to actively contributing to their visibility and recognition? What responsibilities emerge when we seek to illuminate and valorize the specificities of marginalized or overlooked perspectives? Furthermore, in what ways can publishing practices be transformative, fostering appreciative and inclusive discourses that support diverse identities and forms of practice?
Building on her intersectional publishing practice, Eva Weinmayr proposes a shift in focus from purely outcome-based approaches towards the social processes and relationships that publishing can enable. In her talk, Eva explores three aspects of publishing from a feminist intersectional perspective: First the choice of formats and media; second the ecologies of dissemination; and third the ways in which editorial work can be approached to address power relations and access.
The lecture series "Recht auf Wir" initiated by Sophie Vögele addresses in- and exclusion, power relations and circumstances of privilege as well as responsibilities that come with it.
