dc.description.abstractThe chapter "Rethinking Admissions — Confronting Segregation" investigates dominant admission practices, looking at one crucial moment of inclusion or exclusion – the moment of admission to higher education in the arts. Mapping current admission practices at Gothenburg based Academy of Art and Design, HDK-Valand, this research interrogates affirmative action as a method of widening participation in Swedish arts education.
