The Simulationsmodell Nachhaltigkeit (SimoNa) initiative, launched by the canton of Basel-Stadt, aims to provide a comprehensive simulation model to understand how Basel-Stadt will develop in the future and how current decisions will shape it, with a focus on sustainability. At the time, SimoNa is in an early conceptual phase. Its vision and mission are defined, but its concrete goals, requirements, and scope have not yet been fully and systematically captured. This situation required a structured approach to gather and organize stakeholder input as a foundation for further development.
