dc.description.abstractIn the last years a manufacturing company has managed to shift their operations from traditional and conservative ways of working to lean based principles. Although, the company's manufacturing department is operating almost 70% on lean principles, the agile supply chain is the last missing link for the lean transformation to be completed. Consequently, the company faces some issues such as high workload for the purchasing people, no visibility for the supplier, lack of automation on purchase side, PUSH approach.
