Abstract
DevOps is not just development- and operations teams working together. Moreover, it is also not only about tools and processes. DevOps is a culture, a mindset, where teams adopt new ways to deliver applications and services faster and with higher quality. Additionally, businesses hope to gain the necessary speed and agility in software delivery in a rapidly changing world from a DevOps culture. Meanwhile, organisational resistance to change is the biggest blocker to a DevOps evolution for low-evolution teams. However, DevOps education is still missing in academia, but the need for DevOps education in corporate environments is high. Unfortunately, teaching DevOps is challenging and is often about the technical practices only and not collaboration, which is essential for a DevOps team to perform well. Employees must know how their work affects other teams; therefore, everyone needs to get the bigger picture of DevOps. DevOps initiatives require the support of all levels of an organisation. Sadly, current DevOps fundamentals training is not transparent and lacks cultural aspects and standardisation.
