Abstract
This article delves into the fundamentals of resilience, tracing its philosophical and psychological origins, and examines the potential that resilience cultures offer for the successful development of modern companies. It investigates the impact of resilient cultures both within and outside of organisations, highlighting the opportunities and risks associated with their planning, implementation and maintenance. The discussion is rooted in findings from an intercultural research project, providing a comprehensive analysis of how resilience functions as a characteristic of teams and organisations. Additionally, the paper provides a terminological classification that situates resilience within the broader contexts of positive psychology and mindfulness.
