Abstract
Domain experts frequently create and change models of complex systems. In an ever faster changing and turbulent environment, enterprises must implement those changes in a timely and agile manner. The modeller should be supported with tools to reason about and analyse a knowledge base containing models to support decision-making processes. This work aims to create an artefact which automatically translates models into an ontology and link them to meta-model constructs. For this purpose, AOAME, the Agile and Ontology-Aided Meta-Modelling Environment, is extended with modelling capability. This meta-modelling environment is chosen as it stores all components of a modelling language in ontologies. The main question to answer is how meta-models of graphical modelling languages defined in an ontology can instantiate models. This research question is broken down into steps defining modelling situations, designing the links of the models to the metamodels, and the actual implementation in AOAME....
