dc.description.abstractThe business communication curriculum often conceptualizes "audience" as an abstract discourse community. Employers on the other hand expect business-school graduates to produce person-centered writing. To bridge the gap, we compared student submissions for a contextualized writing assignment before and after instructor intervention using text analysis methods and multiple reviewers.
