Abstract
This paper explores the competencies required to facilitate Blended Counseling, defined as the systematic and conceptually grounded mix of digital and analogue communication settings in the counseling process. The benefits of Blended Counseling are briefly outlined in the field of study counseling, using a short case study. Further, a competency model for Blended Counseling is in-troduced. Based on this model a self-assessment tool is presented to support self-reflection and assist counselors in identifying areas for continuous professional development.
